Knowledge builds confidence. Confidence creates agency. Agency changes lives.
At FlorisHER, we believe that when a girl understands how she learns, and when a family understands how to advocate for a loved one, their futures expand. We are a movement rooted in resilience, dignity, and possibility.
Our work is grounded in a dual mission: to empower girls who are struggling academically to rewrite their own stories, and to equip families with the tools they need to navigate complex healthcare systems.
Our name is more than just a title; it is our promise. FLORISHER represents the journey we help our community undertake:
FlorisHER was founded with an urgent mission: to catch the girls who are falling behind.
Every year, more than 2 million young people ages 16–24 drop out of school. Behind these numbers are real stories of low self-esteem, academic frustration, and unseen social pressures. We are here to change that trajectory.
Our Approach: We do not focus solely on grades or test scores. Instead, we take a whole-person approach to help girls:
Understand their learning styles: Moving from frustration to clarity.
Build confidence: Cultivating self-awareness and self-esteem.
Develop life skills: Mastering organization, critical thinking, and goal setting.
Self-Advocate: Learning to speak up for their needs in the classroom and in life.
Academic success and personal growth cannot exist in isolation from health. However, navigating hospitals, rehab centers, and long-term care facilities can be intimidating.
Our Healthcare Advocacy Insight initiative is designed to ensure that patients and families are active, informed partners in care. We aim to prevent the harm that comes from gaps in care, miscommunication, and a lack of knowledge.
The CARES Advocacy Model: We equip families with our proprietary framework to help them navigate the system confidently:
Check: Spot ripening risks and red flags early.
Assess: Identify gaps or lapses in care standards.
Request: Communicate needs clearly to providers.
Evaluate: Ensure protocols are being followed.
Safeguard: Use tools to protect the patient’s dignity and safety.
Through our educational series—covering Awareness, Tools & Strategies, and Accountability & Healing—we help families turn concern into confidence and knowledge into protection.
Whether we are supporting a young girl learning how to believe in herself or a family learning how to advocate in a nursing home, FlorisHER’s work is grounded in the same belief: Every voice deserves to be heard.
By addressing both educational and healthcare inequities, FlorisHER works to strengthen families, protect futures, and build pathways to long‑term well‑being.
We invite educators, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and partners to join us in creating a world where girls are equipped to lead, and families are empowered to advocate.
At FlorisHER, we believe in turning struggles into strengths. Our innovative approach goes beyond traditional learning; we equip girls with the tools to navigate both their academic journeys and their personal well-being. By fostering resilience in the classroom and confidence in the doctor's office, we prepare them not just for school, but for life.
Holistic Growth Through Journaling. Central to our method is guided journaling. This personalized practice provides a safe space for girls to reflect, express themselves, and track their progress. It transforms how they view challenges, building the self-awareness needed to seize opportunities.
Healthcare Advocacy: Your Voice Matters. We believe that physical and mental well-being are the foundation of success. Our new healthcare advocacy initiative empowers girls to:
Understand their rights as patients.
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers.
Prioritize their mental and physical health without shame or hesitation.
Life-Changing Programs: Funding workshops that teach effective learning strategies and critical thinking.
Empowerment Tools: Providing guided journals that foster confidence and emotional intelligence.
Health Literacy: creating resources that teach girls how to advocate for their own medical care and wellness.
Immersive Experiences: Supporting events that build leadership skills and a passion for lifelong growth.
These features empower girls to build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve their goals.
